LA Porsche and BMW Repair

They are expensive but worth it if you have some unusual trouble shooting that needs to be done as with my 993C4S. I have been in the old Porsche restoration world for several years and found them to be very thorough. I wouldn’t use them for changing out filters but for anything more complex I will use them in the near future…absolutely! And very pleased with David, the service person who was most patient and explained what was needed and why.

When you buy a 50 year old 911 that's been a race car for the past 20 years and in storage for the last 7 years who else could I entrust this car to but to Tony and his team. Tony's team went through a complete suspension rebuild, engine tune-up, and an overall resetting of base-line measurements for the car. We trailered our car back to Austin, Texas and ran COTA without a single issue. It's great to have such knowledgable and professional people behind our car.

Unfortunately some major maintenance was required on my Carrera after hitting some debris on the highway, but it is in perfect running order once again due to expert service performed at Callas Rennsport. There was a hidden problem that manifested itself after the initial service which was promptly corrected and thoroughly tested. I am most happy that my Carrera is operating at its peak performance, and I drive with confidence once more.

Nobody else touches my car. These guys and gals are the best, picky, precise, and knowledgeable. Have all the right parts and tools to do nearly any job on an old air cooled 911 like mine. Not the cheapest place in town, but if your car is worth it, then its ultimately a bargain because its done right and never has to be redone. My only place for my Porsche. I brought in my ‘66 porsche 912 to be serviced after 5+ long years of neglect (due to a divorce battle). Needless to say, the car needed some work. The service and attention to detail has been incredible. The care and love for these old cars did not go unnoticed. My service adviser David was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional, and knows his stuff! Never once did I feel pressured into repairs i didn’t feel like doing. I mention this because I pretty much told David “let’s get my car road worthy again” (so one can only imagine a long list of needed repairs, and the potential cost associate with such a request :). For the past 35 years I have owned a 1986 911 Turbo (930) Porsche, which I bought new. I have enjoyed an amazing relationship with Tony Callas of Callas-Rennsport over the last 22 years, during which time he handled all maintenance and engine upgrades my 1986 911 Turbo exclusively. Before that (after the new car warranty expired), the car was cared for by Edelweiss Porsche in Torrance, where Tony worked until setting off on his own and establishing Callas Rennsport, also in Torrance. Tony has established himself among the elite of Porsche mechanics and from time-to-time works with different Porsche racing teams. His associate, Tom Prine, is incredibly knowledgeable about everything Porsche and willingly shares his wisdom and enthusiasm. David, the service manager, is excellent, and the repair and maintenance technicians I have had the pleasure of dealing with are, in my opinion, top-notch. Everything they have repaired on my car has proven to be reliable. I feel that they treat my car as of it were theirs. If you want the highest quality treatment for your prized possession, I honestly don't think you can do better. I wish I could give them 6 stars.
